Hungover for Days

Man what a weekend!!! It took me a couple of days to recover from it. I didn't even blog monday, on the count that I couldn't look at my computer screen. It made me all fuzzy.... Like A-Hole?? And yesterday I couldn't think of anything to write about. I'll start from the beginning

Saterday night, WiggerSlam Sam and Krustin Timberlake came to visit me in Arnhem. We went to Luxor for some breakcore and beers. It was allright, but not nearly what I expected from Bong Ra. Anyways, after some beer and vodka we still had all the fun we came for. Around 3AM we headed home for some beers and pizza.

Zwart Licht - Definitie van Dopeheid

The day after, was the day of "Definitie van Dopeheid", which is one of the biggest dutch HipHop festivals this small country has to offer. It's quite the happening, 2500 hiphop enthusiasts and 42 different hiphop acts all on one day. We left for 013 Tilburg at 1PM. The train ride over to Tilburg was already a highlight. Lots of laughing and conversating, and the first beers ofcourse.

T Moon

Once we were inside we went straight to the bar just as planned. Our plan was to get drunk and then get drunk some more. In the meanwhile Timmietex was about to start his show in the Batcave (also known as the Sweatcave), this is the smallest stage in the 013. His showcase was pretty fun, and as always Timmietex cracks me up. Snaptuh!!?! Then it was back to the bar. Three "Halve Liters" please!!! Next up on the big stage was MO & Brakko. Winners of De Grote Prijs 2008, and one of my favorites of this year.

Food Break!!!

After a loud trip through the city of Tilburg, we got in line at a packed McD's, ordered some menu's and chewed em down whilst herassing some chick who was sleeping on the table. She must have passed out or something. I mean, who goes to sleep inside a McDonalds right? Anyway, we literaly ate our meals in 3 minutes or so. We did so because Zo Moeilijk was about to start their show. Since T Moon is a Moeiligan, he didn't want to miss out on their show. Enjoyed it, enjoyed the beers even more. But hé, that ain't no news.

Cartes

Checked out a part of Manu's show and after that Fresku. Which was good, i think?!? I wasn't really paying attention cuz them halve liters were making it kind of impossible. Which is a good thing considering that's what we came for. The serious party mode kicked in when my all time favorites came on stage. Kleine Jay & Cartes! I love their music and I'm a fan or their live shows. Why? I don't know, maybe it's because the are also from Brabant, but I think it's because the are not chagerijnig. I spoke with Cartes after the show, and congratulated him on the succes of their show by saying it was 'easily the best show' that day. I Also asked him what we could expect from the Bosschenaren. He told me about a mixtape soon and the new album in 2010. I'm looking forward to that! There will probably be a big ass release party, just like last time.

Meanwhile back at 013!! Spinal and Steen climbed up on stage to do their show. I still don't really get it?!? I mean, I know it's all one big act, but why do all the kids like it so much? Anyways, I drank more than I watched their show. I wanted to be fully energized to watch Zwart Licht. Which was one big explosion!! That's the best way I can describe their show. You just gotta love 'em! I mean look at the top picture of them on stage, together with the rest of the crowd. Says it all!!

After that, we checked Winne for a couple of minutes, but then we had to leave to catch the last train to Arnhem. This is where we met them boys from Elst. Had some good laughs with them on the train. One even made me accindentaly shoplift a coke, from the store at Tilburg CS. Oops.... My bad!! After one hell of a train ride back to arnhem, we ran into Shakira. One of the hosts of the day. The night ended with paint, that's all I can tell you.
